Less than an hour from Paris, 15 km from Rambouillet and 20 km from Chartres, lies the splendid 18-hole Château de Maintenon Golf Course.
The course weaves its way around the château grounds, crisscrossing its many canals and ponds. Running through the heart of the course are the towering remains of a 16th century aqueduct built—but never finished—for Louis XIV to transport water to the fountains of Versailles.
A par-70 course measuring just over 6,000 yards, the Château de Maintenon course blends a picturesque historic setting with challenging and enjoyable golf. It caters to the needs of all golfers and its facilities include a practice green, an on-staff pro, restaurant/bar and pro-shop.
